Sunshine Coast Hinterland Wedding Celebrant
Rolling green hills, rainforest, waterfalls and sweeping views of the Glass House Mountains: the Sunshine Coast hinterland is one of the most romantic places in Queensland to get married. I'm Sabina Kath, a Commonwealth-registered marriage celebrant based on the Sunshine Coast, and I create relaxed, personal ceremonies for couples marrying in Maleny, Montville, Flaxton, Mapleton and beyond.
From an intimate elopement at a hinterland lookout to a full ceremony at a country estate, I'll take care of the legal side and write a ceremony that tells your story with warmth, laughter and meaning.

Where to get married in the Sunshine Coast hinterland
- Maleny: valley-view venues such as Tiffany's Maleny, the Swiss chapel at Maleny Country Estate, Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World, the Little White Wedding Church, and rainforest ceremonies at Spicers Tamarind Retreat
- Montville: lakeside and garden settings such as Secrets on the Lake, Montvale and Spicers Clovelly Estate
- Flaxton and Mapleton: hinterland views and garden venues such as Flaxton Gardens
- Noosa hinterland: country towns and lookouts around Eumundi, Pomona, Cooroy and Mount Tinbeerwah
- Your own place: a family farm, a friend's property or a holiday house can make a beautiful, personal setting

Tips for planning a hinterland wedding
- Plan for the weather. The hinterland can be cooler, misty or rainy, even when the coast is sunny. A wet weather option is a must for outdoor ceremonies.
- Allow for travel time. Roads up the range are winding, so give guests (and your suppliers) extra time and clear directions. Organising a shuttle bus is often worth it.
- Book accommodation early. Maleny and Montville have lovely cottages, B&Bs and retreats, but they fill quickly on popular weekends.
- Think about the light. Many hinterland venues look west over the valleys and mountains, so late-afternoon ceremonies can catch beautiful golden light.
- Check permits for public spots. Ceremonies in council parks and reserves need a permit from Sunshine Coast Council (or Noosa Council in the Noosa hinterland), and national park spots need approval from Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. Private venues look after their own bookings.
Why choose a local Sunshine Coast celebrant?
- I'm based on the Sunshine Coast, so the hinterland is just a short drive away
- Travel within 50 km driving distance of postcode 4560 is included, and I'll always confirm any extra travel costs upfront
- Every ceremony is written from scratch: no boring scripts, just your story
